A must needed upgrade for longer term. I've had the wheel stand classic for 2 years now and I love it. Once I added the chair mounted to the set-up it started to become a bit wobbly especially with heal and toe shifting. Once I installed this upgrade which took about 20 mins it was a huge upgrade. The force feedback was better, it doesn't wobble, shifting with my th8a is so much better.

tl/dr: The Support Bars reduce sway and don't necessarily prevent your GT Classic from folding.
I purchased the GT Omega Classic as I'm just getting into sim racing, but I don't have a lot of space. The Classic was an easy sell because it folds up and I can lean it against a wall.
However, there is some sway, probably because my arms are heavy with many, many layers of muscle, and I tend pull down on the wheel too much. As a result, my drink tended to spill. (I didn't get a shifter, so the shifter stand has been reimagined as a beverage/remote stand with grippy rubber adhered to it.)
Looking to solve this problem, I came across the Support Bars!
But: The fine print said that the Support Bars would render my collapsible rig UN-collapsable.
I studied the photos and was, like, "Hmmmm, yeah, maybe not..." It looked like the top brackets could pivot. I took a chance and placed the order when they were back in stock.
As I suspected, the Support Bars render the rig un-collapsable *only* if you secure the bottom mounts with the included bolts.
I secured the top brackets of the Support Bars to the frame with the included bolts.
Now all I have to do is slide the lower half of the Support Bars down (they telescope) so that the lower brackets are flush and square with the lower arm of the frame.
Next, tighten up the hand screw and it's good to go.
To collapse the unit, I unscrew the hand screw, telescope the Support Bars up, swing them up toward the wheel, and the whole unit collapses as usual.
I haven't noticed any ill effects from doing this. There is still a tiiiny bit of sway, if I'm being honest, but my drinks no longer spill, and that's really what's important.

For me this made a huge difference, I have the old classic wheel stand, the rear seat frame and the triple monitor stand, these support bars have added so much stability (csl dd 8nm), highly recommended.

The braces help stiffen up the classic frame somewhat. Unfortunately due to their placement and fitting, although it does increase ridgity there is still alot of flex. A solution is needed also for where the wheel mounts, I will probably fit some triangle shaped supports and cross pieces to further support the frame.

These supports really do make a difference to the rigidity of the classic stand/rig. I'm reluctant to upgrade to a higher spec rig as space is at a premium and the classic rig's ability to easily split in half makes it a real space saver. With these supports I can put off upgrading to a direct drive wheel base for a few more years.
