PRIME Speaker Mount      

I bought these speaker mounts for my prime rig, they fit ok to rig but with such a small base to mount speaker to. I ended up not fitting them.

I started off with the GT omega frame and wanted to progress I've bought the prime lite and can't look back this is the best setup I could ask for

I am a returning customer of GT omega. 1) price good. 2) product well made and does the job. 3) I would recommend GT omega to anyone.

Used these mounts on my Sim Lab Rig and really helped to bring the Logitech X-230 speaker to ear level for a better sound field.

Dear Sir or Madam I love to give you (constructive) feedback so you have the possibility to improve ;-) I hope you take this feedback seriously. Feel free to contact me if you need more information. I have choosen GT-Omega mainly because of the overall total price (including shipping) and the simple and clean look I bought: PRIME, integrated single monitor stand, speaker mount, Fanatec DD mount 1. Why so many different screws? I counted 9 different screws! Other similiar rigs seem to use less. 2. Not all visible screws are black! So I bought aftermarket screws in black to fit the look better. 3. With the monitor mount I received slot nuts which were a bit smaller and does not fit as well as the "big" ones! Happily you have included enough slot nuts so I could replace the "small" ones. 4. The Vesa mount of the monitor stand does not fit my LG 38GN950-B! I had to buy a separate mount which I attached directly to the horizontal alu profile. 5. The horizontal alu profile is too long. I assume you want to have a "modular" system and you want the customer to easily upgrade from single to triple monitors. I still would prefer a shorter alu profile so the ends do not overlap the monitor. I will buy one aftermarket to fit my visual needs ;- 6. The integrated single monitor stand is too pricy! In general you have a great price-performance ratio, but relation to the complete rig costing 863,95€ I find the 215,95€ for the monitor stand to expensive. 7. The plate for the pedals does not align perfectly to the side mounts! You'll notice this even more as you can see the unfinished side of the mounting plate. Whatever I tried I could not get it aligned. 8. Mounting a separate aftermarket seat was tricky! I bought a separate bucket seat with separate seat slider and mounting brackets as these where not available from one single manufacturer. This gave me some hussle while mounting it. I assume it would have been easier getting one of your seats (but I do not want a recliner seat). Your rig can keep up with all the others available options on the market. But to be more on the "pro-sumer" side, in my opinion you should add a bucket (non recliner) seat to your product catalog. 9. The anodized black finish can be scratched very easily. I first build the rig so that every part is at it's place. Then I moved (slided) the things around to make it fit my size. By doing this I scratched the black finish of the alu profiles at multiple places! The rig is stable and does not move or flex in high tourque mode of the Fanatec Podium wheel base or while breaking. I still love this rig and I would buy it again but imho above mnetoined topics would make it perfect Kind regards Peter Haak info@pixelpeter.de

I started by mounting the rear speakers first. Initially I mounted the speaker mounts the way shown in the included instruction sheet. With the mounts in the upright position and the speaker mounted directly. I found that when I moved the seat fully rearward it ran into the speakers. I overcame this by using some spare brackets I had to move the speakers out, so they were alongside (not behind) the seat. I was not quite happy with the rear speakers next to the seat, so I checked out the listing for the speakers on the GT Omega website. Here the illustrations show the mounts horizontal, with the speakers mounted on their stands. I tried my speakers in this configuration and the rear speakers were now further back and not in the way of the seat. I mounted the front speakers in a similar way. All in all, a lot better solution to having 2 speakers on the desk and the rear ones on tripods behind (waiting to be kicked over).

The stand is too small and not wide enough to support my speakers, Gt omega should redesign this speaker stand, in my opinion it is a waste of money.

They work as advertised, and provide a solid rattle-free mount for speakers with compatible mount points. I'm still trying to figure out best way to use them. I got an old set of Logitech Z-560 4.1 speakers from a friend and mounted them to the Prime cockpit using these mounts. The mounts work perfect for those speakers since they have a foot that detaches and can be replaced. Screwing in this way was a solid mount and holds the speakers in place fine. I'm a little ambivalent because mounting speakers low down like this has trade-offs. When driving the sound of your car and tires sounds pretty natural. The sound of the announcer, rain, and other cars feels a bit weird coming from below, but that's a fine trade-off. (If future GT-Omega seats had a threaded hole for speaker mounts behind your head, these would be a no brainer.)

Speaker mounts work great, having the ability to position them exactly where I want them makes the experience so much better.

It's a deception, as it is so small and only useful if your speakers has something to bold it. I was able to use them, 2 by 2, to wedge each Bose speaker, but it's DIY and I had to resort to double-sided tape

The speaker brackets are pretty good, heavy duty and easy to attach to the rig. As you can see from the photo I have a pretty large set of speakers attached to them. Because of the width of the speaker they are not at an ideal position. If the speaker brackets were a little longer and wider they would be ideal. The next thing I was thinking of trying is attaching the brackets to the pedal tray up rights on either side and replace the t-nut with an ordinary nut, if it works out I will do another review and show a photo.
